Edwin Becker

Edwin Becker (1963) has been working at the Van Gogh Museum since 1992, specialising in visual and applied art from the fin-de-siècle, resulting in presentations of surprising and undiscovered themes and artists.

For example, he organised exhibitions on In Perfect Harmony: painting + frame 1850-1920, L'Art Nouveau: La Maison Bing and Egon Schiele.

Since 2006 he has been head (curator) of exhibitions at the Van Gogh Museum, where he is responsible for a varied exhibition programme, from Munch: Van Gogh to Hockney - Van Gogh. The Joy of Nature.

Edwin Becker regularly gives lectures, seminars and workshops for international universities, museums and cultural institutions and leads cultural tours.
