Boogieland

Material: Acrylic on linen canvas
Size: 60 x 90 cm

Boogieland (Kickboxclub in Amsterdam), placed boxingbags in the city, so people could still work-out, when all sportcenters closed due to Covid-19. They were hanging on street/traffic lights and the street was marked with a one person square. People loved it!!! Unfortunately, they were not allowed and the bags disappeared. What was left, were empty streets and traces of both love and fear..
Femke Moedt is an Amsterdam based artist, who studied at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, where she obtained the diploma in Fine Arts, with audio visual work.
