Lilian Berg

Kelpie

Material: Charcoal, Acryl and Oilpainting on Canvas
Size: 80 x 120 cm cm

Kelpie. Oil Painting inspired upon a shape changing Water Horse Spirit from the Scottish mythology. This aquatic spirit changes often into a horse or half horse and half man. So my wild romance was drowned in the water but with enough inspiration left.
"I live in my art" Welcome into my world of sense, colors, shapes and not to forget about the new 1,5 meter society. I live in Amsterdam almost all my life at least thats how it feels. The opportunity to change my life a couple of years ago to Spain 2002 / 2009 was very meaningful to me. Experiencing the mediterranean culture. My paintings became more worked through and colors layered. I started using different forms of relievo. My style is in between abstract and figurative. I noticed that the color blue is something I love because it creates space. The ocean, the Sea, waves and protected animals are very important to me. The sea is huge and shows lots of colors, It relaxes and in the same time can take life’s. Now with the global warming and Covid virus it seems that nature is speaking for herself () But not to worry the human form is returning into my work () "And lilian´s art is coming straight from the heart " .
