In life, I learn painting from many painters. I also consider myself a self-taught person (autodidact).

I resumed painting in 2018.
I can say that I am a new painter!
I admire the classics - Diego Velázquez, Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres, Johannes Vermeer - their ability to show materiality, composition. I strive for it all the time.
Post-impressionists - Vincent van Gogh, Paul Cézanne - amazing brush strokes, rhythms, directions. There is always something to learn!
Once I visited Amsterdam and there at Van Rijks Museum was an big exhibition of Rembrandt's paintings collected from collections from around the world. They were presented in surprising ways. In the painting “The Night Watch”, the various painting fields were illuminated with the help of light. Appropriate sounds were played along. The big painting, in fact, became like divided into small fragments. At one moment one figure was illuminated, then the other one later. One could say that it was a real show of paintings, a story, and a painting was as if it came alive. The event of that time came into modern life.
I participated in the competition.
Organized by the FLORENCE CONTEMPORARY GALLERY - for The 2020 Art Catalog with 3 pictures.
Last year (2019) participated in the group exhibition - "Paintings".
I have participated in several paintings exhibitions in Latvia.
