Recycling is a millennial attitude. The old clothes were torn into thin strips that were used on the loom to weave beautiful, warm and colorful quilts. From my memory, I rescued on screen a web of dreams in thousands of threads, emotionally abstract.
Victor Costa, self-taught painter. Natural of Coimbra, grew up in Almalaguês where early awakened to the painting. He began to face the plastic arts as a form of expression in 1980. It develops and participates regularly in workshops of painting, music therapy and art, in meetings of a pedagogical and scientific nature, and public artistic demonstrations. In his painting studio in Almalaguês, he regularly receives students from pre-school and elementary school, from several schools in the center region, with whom he develops pedagogical actions aimed at stimulating creativity. Member of the artistic movement of Coimbra “MAGENTA”; member of the Art-in-Sight Association – “ Arte-à-Vista”, which was President of the General Assembly; member of the Association of Friendship and Portuguese Galician arts “ AAAGP “, which was Vice president; member of National Club of Plastic Arts “ CNAP “ and founding member of Association Forum of Plastic Arts “ AFAP ”; from 2011 to 2016 was Commissioner of Art of the Recollection Queen Santa Isabel / Alfredo Bastos in Coimbra. It was appointed in January of 2013 representative of Academic of the Brazilian Federation of Academics of Sciences, Letters, and Arts.
He has participated in several individual and collective exhibitions in: America, Serbia, Poland, Holland, France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Brazil and Portugal. Winner of several award, national and international, represented in public and private collections in Portugal and abroad.
