Abstract in delightful, sweet collors
What have I done?
From 1980 to 1985; drawing and painting lessons from Brother Beatus Nijs in Hilversum. First watercolor lessons followed there. Simultaneously studied at the Pedagogical Academy, graduated in 1984.
In 1986 followed acrylic painting lessons at the Free Academy in Laren. In 1993 I had the opportunity to follow a watercolor master class with Paul Banning. A British watercolorist. From 1996 to 1998 I took nude model drawing lessons with Olav Cleofas van Overbeek.
In 2006 I took a master class with the watercolorist Dorry van der Winkel from Groningen. From 2008 to 2009 I followed the basic training at the Classical Academy for painting in Groningen.
From 2013 to 2017 I had the opportunity to live and work in Naples Italy. That's where my love for abstract painting started. The bright colors came naturally.
In addition to new canvases, I also use canvases that I find in the thrift store for my abstract paintings. I then paint them over to give them a second life.
