Com-vida 20

Material: oil on linen
Size: 26 in x 32 in cm

In times of crisis like the one we are going through now, looking upwards for a return to our prayers for a better future for humanity can be an alternative. “COM-VIDA 20” leads us to think in this direction. This idea of small pieces that help to build an impacting set gains a lot of significance in the current conjuncture, since the relations between the parts and the whole are of great complexity and, in this historical moment, it seems that they can guide the way we think about our existential path. When counting deaths as if they were just numbers, each little piece painted is essential to the content. Each life lost before the coronavirus movement, in this sense, is a small piece of mosaic. It must always be remembered as a fragment of ourselves that has left.
