Untiteld (what are you looking at)

Material: Acrylic paint on canvas
Size: 30 x 40 cm

What are we looking for when we look at a painting? Are we searching for something or are we being manipulated and seduced by the artist ideas? And what is a 'good' painting? Is it true beauty, or is that someting that just excist in your own head? A room in your head that is filled with the things you find beautiful, and only you see.
I am a 20 year old Fine Art student. I study at the ZUYD-institute of Arts in Maastricht. Currently i am in my second year, and painting with acrylic is my most used medium. I started painting as a child, but only started painting seriously about 2 and a half years ago. I really want to grow in skill and develop my own style, but for now i am learning as much as i can to find what i want to portray with my art.
